Deforestation

Deforestation is basically humans cutting down trees for their needs  

and wants.  Deforestation is one of the most common phenomena in our country and the worldwide also. Deforestation is manmade and sometimes due to manmade defaults as well. Deforestation has multiple reasons. The most critical reason I would mention is urbanization. Urbanization means the shift of population to a better place from the place they used to live before. More specifically from rural to urban areas. That means the rural places are converted to urban areas slowly and for that a vast area is needed. That vast area is created by chopping down trees, the nature is slowly being destroyed due to urbanization. As the population grows the demand for housing also grows and so do the industries and infrastructure increase. Another reason that should be mentioned is logging, as wood is needed for furniture production and construction . Legally there is a certain percentage of logging, but there are illegal practices as well  for this. Climate change is another very crucial reason for the deforestation.  climate change causing wildfires, storms, droughts etc are the natural phenomenon for deforestation. and this climate change is also caused for human errors. Again agriculture might be a reason for deforestation as big trees are been cut down to grow crops in that vast land of area. Deforestation is also done by many industries for making their huge factories. People deforest with or without knowing the consequences of deforestation. People do it for their own purpose without caring about the nature. The impact of deforestation in our society is immense. One of the impacts is climate change, climate change causes due to human malpractice in cutting down trees. As there is an increase of carbon dioxide in the environment that causes different kinds of changes in the atmosphere and that affects our surroundings. Our environment has elements like soil, and water that are also being harmed. Water cycle is being disrupted and affects water availability.  

Soil erosion occurs as the forest protects the soil from erosion so when the forests are cut down.  The solution to deforestation should be taken sooner as the world has only 25-30% of forest resources and if they are cut down slowly it will be impossible for us to survive in this world. 

The implementation of the solution should start with planting more trees. Planting more trees which means reforestation and afforestation should be implemented as soon as possible. Malpractice of cutting down trees illegally should be stopped also and implementing sustainable logging. Awareness should be created among the people by raising voices against it and doing strikes against it. Many NGOs are already working on it. People should be educated about the dos and don'ts when it comes to saving trees and why should they be saved for our environment.  Deforestation is a crucial issue for our society that requires the coordination of individuals. By understanding the depth of the impacts and the cause of deforestation we can work together for the well-being of nature and preserve the forests for all the lives on earth living.
